We personally organize the receipt of cargo at the terminal and protect you from fines (demurrage and detention).

India with TransGID
From India to Russia, industrial equipment, pharmaceutical raw materials, chemical products, textiles, auto parts, and food products are supplied. For such shipments, it is important to choose the right route, prepare the documents, and confirm the origin of the goods to receive tariff preferences.
TransGID organizes the full cycle of imports from India and export shipments from the Russian Federation. We pick up cargo from Indian suppliers in New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and deliver it to your warehouse. We select FEA codes ourselves, carry out certification, process the batch under the seal of a customs representative, and organize financial logistics.
Shipping routes from India
Sea cargo transportation
Sea freight is the cheapest way to bring heavy, bulky, and non-perishable goods. The container leaves Indian ports Nava Sheva, Mundra, Chennai, etc., directly for Russia. We offer three regular services.
Through Vladivostok (Far Eastern route)
The optimal choice for recipients in the Far East, Siberia, and the Urals. From the ports of the Far East, we promptly reload containers onto fitting platforms and send the cargo by express trains deep into the country.
Through Novorossiysk (Deep Sea)
The main route for the Southern Federal District, the Volga region, and central Russia. We fully control the unloading, processing, and storage at the terminal, which protects you from fines.
Through St. Petersburg (Deep Sea)
The route through the Baltic is beneficial for companies from the North-West region, as it excludes transit delivery by trucks or train across the entire country.
The average transit time for sea delivery is 25-35 days. From the arrival ports, we organize road and rail delivery throughout the country: to Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Kazan, Rostov-on-Don, etc., as well as to the CIS countries: Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan.
Air delivery from India
We organize urgent direct flights from the international airports of New Delhi and Mumbai to Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo, or any other international airport in the Russian Federation that has a customs post. The goods arrive in Russia in 1-3 days, including processing at the cargo terminal.
Air delivery is chosen for high-margin goods or cargo on which the operation of the enterprise depends: test samples, microelectronics, optics, and spare parts for conveyor lines. Delivery of medicines and drugs from India is also often carried out by planes, as it requires continuous temperature control.
Our logisticians have direct accreditation with the International Air Transport Association (IATA). We do not resell services from agents but book seats directly with airlines. This gives our clients the guarantee of departure during peak load seasons and prices without hidden commissions.
Shipments: from one box to dozens of containers
Consolidated cargo from India (LCL)
If the volume of your purchase does not exceed 10-15 cubic meters, ordering a whole container is unprofitable. For such cases, we offer a service for delivering consolidated cargo. We do not have a minimum threshold — we will accept any volume of shipment.
The cargo is picked up from the manufacturer and brought to our consolidation warehouse. Warehouse workers weigh the goods, check the integrity of the factory packaging, make rigid wooden crates if necessary, and load them into a shared container with goods from other importers. You pay only for the volume that your cargo occupies.
Full containers (FCL)
For large shipments, TransGID provides empty equipment directly to the Indian factory. The type of container is selected based on the weight, volume, and characteristics of the cargo.
- Standard 20-foot containers (20DC) are used for heavy and dense goods: metal products, liquid containers, fasteners. With a small volume, they can carry up to 28 tons.
- High 40-foot containers (40HC) are used for bulky but lightweight goods: clothing, plastic products, furniture. Their capacity reaches 76 cubic meters.
The loaded container is sealed at the factory and opened only at your warehouse in Russia.
Complex nomenclature
We handle specific goods. Transportation of chemicals from India (including dangerous goods of classes 3, 4, 6, 8, and 9) is carried out in strict compliance with regulations and safety data sheet (MSDS) checks. Oversized cargo from India (turbines, special equipment) is sent on open platforms Flat Rack with the development of individual fastening schemes.
4 reasons to entrust logistics from India to TransGID
TransGID operates on the basis of its own infrastructure, which gives our clients a guarantee of deadlines and protection from hidden payments.
Our declarants bear full legal responsibility for the release of goods, select the codes themselves, prove the customs value, and submit declarations under the TransGID seal.
For urgent air delivery from India, we book space in the cargo holds of aircraft directly with the airlines, so we guarantee transparent rates and a guarantee of departure even during peak load season.
Russian banks often block or delay direct foreign transfers to Asia. TransGID solves this problem officially and without risks.
Export to India
India is a vast market with a population of over 1.47 billion people. Russian businesses are actively increasing exports in this direction, and TransGID helps domestic producers send agricultural products (chickpeas, peas, flax), food supplements, fertilizers, lumber, agricultural products, food ingredients, and chemical raw materials.
For agribusiness companies, TransGID provides special food-grade containers – free of odor and industrial chemicals from previous shipments. We install grain liners (liner bags) inside, organize phytosanitary control, obtain laboratory quality protocols, and issue an export declaration. The client's accounting department receives a flawless package of documents for closing foreign exchange control.
Customs clearance of goods from India
India is included in the national system of tariff preferences of the Russian Federation as a developing country. This means that with proper documentation, an importer can receive a 25% discount on the basic customs duty rate. The main condition is that the Indian supplier must issue a certificate of origin of the product in the form of «A».
As a licensed customs representative, TransGID takes control of this process. We pre-check invoices, help obtain preferences, accurately select HS FEA codes, and submit the declaration to the Electronic Declaration Center (EDC). Customs clearance of goods from India takes 1-2 days without the risks of customs value adjustment (CVA).
Financial logistics and purchase of goods
Direct bank transfers abroad are currently unstable — payments are often subject to checks by correspondent banks, hang for several weeks, or are returned to the account.
To avoid delays in deliveries, we have introduced the service of comprehensive financial logistics. Under an agency agreement, TransGID organizes the purchase of goods and payment to the supplier in India in national currencies at a transparent exchange rate. You receive legally imported goods with closing documents that the tax inspectorate will accept without questions.
Do you issue certificate of origin form «A» for goods from India?
The certificate itself is issued by the Chamber of Commerce in India at the request of the sender. Our specialists contact your supplier, give him instructions, and check the document draft before its release. A mistake in one letter can deprive you of the duty discount, so we control this process 100%.
Is it possible to bring chemicals or batteries as part of a consolidated shipment?
Sea lines are very reluctant to accept dangerous goods (ADR) in consolidated containers due to the risk of damaging other importers' goods. To consider such a possibility, we обязательно need a safety data sheet (MSDS) from your factory. If the hazard class allows for combined transportation, we will accept the shipment.
How can I transfer money to a supplier in India if the bank rejects the payment?
Due to compliance checks, direct currency transfers often do not reach the recipient. As part of our financial logistics service, we conclude a Russian agency agreement with you and arrange payment to the Indian factory in rupees or another available currency.
What is cheaper - delivery by sea or by air?
Sea freight is about 5-7 times cheaper than air freight, but takes 25-35 days. If you have inexpensive, heavy goods and have some time, choose the sea. If you are carrying microchips, samples for the laboratory, or expensive pharmaceuticals, where each day of downtime costs millions, air freight will pay for itself quickly.
