Task
We received a request from a regional distributor of construction machinery and equipment. It was necessary to deliver a 40-foot container of original power tools (drills, angle grinders, screwdrivers, grinders) from a well-known Chinese brand from Ningbo to Yekaterinburg.
Problem
Importing branded goods is always associated with the risk of customs suspension. Customs strictly monitors compliance with intellectual property rights. All data on goods, trademarks, right holders and authorized persons in the Russian Federation is contained in the Customs Register of Intellectual Property Objects (ROISP). If goods are imported without the permission of the right holder or if an error is made in the security certificates, the container may be seized at the border until the circumstances are clarified, and the importer may be fined.
TransGID Solution
We started preparing for this shipment two weeks before the physical shipment of the goods. Our declarants contacted the owner of the trademark in China in advance and requested an official letter of consent for the import of products by this importer.
At the same time, we selected the exact FEA codes for each type of tool and issued mandatory declarations of conformity with technical regulations. We made sure that the markings on the devices themselves strictly match the data in the documents. Only after the legal nuances were observed, we submitted an empty container to the factory, loaded the batch and sent it by sea to Vladivostok.
Result
Thanks to perfectly оформленным documents, customs clearance in Vladivostok took place in one working day without inspection or adjustments to the value. After release, the container was sent by rail, and then we organized a truck directly to the customer's warehouse. The client received fully legal goods ready for sale in the territory of the Russian Federation.
