Task
A Russian importer ordered a batch of hoodies, T-shirts and jeans from several factories in Guangzhou. The total volume of the shipment was 8.4 m³, weight – 1.3 tons.
When transporting clothing, time is of the essence: a delay of two weeks due to problems at the border can turn the current collection into dead stock.
What risks did the importer face
When checking the cargo at our consolidation warehouse in China, critical errors were found that would have guaranteed refusal of release at customs:
Violation of technical regulations
On some items, labels were missing, on others – the information was only in Chinese. The country of origin, fabric composition and manufacturer's data were not indicated.
Incorrect assortment
The actual quantity of goods did not match the data in the factory invoices.
Threat of downtime
Without correct labeling, the goods could be held up in temporary storage for examinations and relabeling in Russia, which would multiply the costs.

Documentary audit
Our logisticians unified the descriptions of goods in the invoices and prepared a declaration of conformity for the light industry.
For legal import, we formed a white package of documents: FEA contract, verified invoice, packing list, declaration of conformity and transport waybills.
Result
Due to the fact that control was transferred to the forwarder's side in China, the transportation of the consolidated cargo proceeded according to schedule.
The goods were delivered in 26 days, the registration went smoothly without additional requests and inspections, and the client avoided fines and storage costs at the temporary storage warehouse, which could amount to up to 15% of the batch cost.
The goods went on sale exactly at the beginning of the autumn season.
