We track the transportation from the supplier to the recipient's warehouse.
Thailand
Thailand with TransGID
Thailand is one of the major industrial and commercial centers in Southeast Asia. Russian companies purchase auto parts, electronics, industrial equipment, chemical raw materials, cosmetics, food, rubber, packaging materials, and goods for marketplaces here.
TransGID organizes cargo delivery from Thailand for legal entities and individual entrepreneurs. We pick up the goods from the supplier, deliver them to the port or consolidation warehouse, arrange international transportation, prepare documents for customs, and deliver the cargo to the recipient's warehouse in Russia.
We work with consolidated shipments, full containers, airfreight, refrigerated cargo, dangerous goods, and supplies with the purchase of goods from a Thai supplier.
What goods are imported from Thailand
We work with any commercial shipments for business.
Main categories of cargo from Thailand:
- auto parts and components for Japanese and Korean cars;
- electronics, boards, hard drives, components, and IT equipment;
- industrial equipment, machines, pumps, and production lines;
- chemical products, reagents, polymers, and additives;
- cosmetics, natural oils, extracts, and beauty products;
- food, spices, sauces, preserved foods, and raw materials for the food industry;
- rubber, rubber products, packaging materials, and production goods;
- clothing, textiles, shoes, and goods for marketplaces.
For each category, we pre-check the requirements for documents, packaging, temperature regime, and customs clearance.
Main ports and logistics hubs in Thailand
The choice of the dispatch point affects the delivery time, cost, and convenience of further delivery across Russia.
Laem Chabang Port
Laem Chabang is the main deep-water port in Thailand. Container shipments, vehicles, equipment, industrial products, and large commercial cargoes are sent through it.
This port is suitable for full containers, heavy cargo, project shipments, and regular imports to Russia.
Bangkok Port
Bangkok Port, also known as Klong Toey, is located in the capital and is convenient for cargo collected at consolidation warehouses near the city.
Through Bangkok, consolidated shipments, goods for marketplaces, cosmetics, textiles, small batches of equipment, and commercial cargo from several suppliers are often sent.
Lat Krabang
Lat Krabang is used as an important internal container hub near Bangkok. It is convenient for organizing consolidation, containerization, and further shipment of cargo to seaports.
This option is suitable when goods are collected from several warehouses or factories in the central part of Thailand.
Other dispatch points
If necessary, we organize cargo вывоз from industrial zones, suppliers' warehouses, and production sites in Bangkok, Chonburi, Rayong, Samut Prakan, and other regions of Thailand.
Delivery routes from Thailand to Russia
The main mode of transportation from Thailand is sea freight with further delivery across Russia by road or rail.
Through Vladivostok and Far Eastern ports
The route is suitable for recipients in the central part of Russia, Siberia, the Urals and the Far East.
Transportation scheme: port of Thailand → Far Eastern ports → railway or road delivery across Russia.
This route is often chosen for container shipments, consolidated cargo, auto parts, equipment and goods for trade.
Through Novorossiysk
The route through Novorossiysk is suitable for recipients in the Southern Federal District, the Volga region and the central part of Russia.
Transportation scheme: port of Thailand → Novorossiysk → road or railway delivery across Russia.
For clients in the south of Russia, this route allows you to reduce the internal transport arm after the container arrives.
Through St. Petersburg
The route through the Baltic is suitable for companies from the North-West region.
Transportation scheme: port of Thailand → port of St. Petersburg or Leningrad region → delivery to the recipient's warehouse.
This option is used when the final recipient is in St. Petersburg, Leningrad region, Karelia or other regions of the North-West.
Air delivery from Thailand
Air transportation is suitable for urgent cargo, samples, electronics, components, medical products and spare parts for production.
The main point of departure is Suvarnabhumi International Airport in Bangkok.
The average air delivery period is from two days, taking into account cargo handling, paperwork and terminal operations.
Shipment formats
TransGID selects the mode of transportation based on volume, weight, cost and urgency of delivery.
Consolidated cargo from Thailand
Consolidated delivery is suitable for small batches when ordering a separate container is not economically feasible.
Scheme of work:
- pick up the cargo from the supplier;
- deliver to the consolidation warehouse;
- check the number of pieces and packaging;
- if necessary, make additional crating;
- combine cargo with shipments from other clients;
- arrange international transportation and customs clearance.
The client pays only for the actual volume or weight occupied.
This format is suitable for marketplace goods, cosmetics, textiles, spare parts, samples, small batches of electronics and equipment.
Container freight from Thailand
For large batches we use FCL container shipments.
The container is delivered to the supplier's warehouse or terminal. After loading, it is sealed and sent along the selected route.
For heavy and dense cargo, 20-foot containers are more often used. For bulky goods — 40-foot and 40-foot High Cube.
Full containers are suitable for equipment, auto parts, rubber, rubber products, packaging materials, food products and large wholesale.
Refrigerated transportation
For cargo that requires temperature control, we use refrigerated containers.
This is how food products, cosmetic raw materials, some chemicals, pharmaceuticals and other temperature-sensitive goods are transported.
Before shipment, we agree on the temperature regime, check packaging requirements and control documents for customs clearance.
Dangerous goods
TransGID works with certain categories of dangerous goods from Thailand: chemicals, reagents, batteries, industrial fluids and raw materials for production.
Before calculating the shipment, we request the MSDS safety data sheet, check the hazard class, conditions for combined transport and the requirements of the sea line.
White delivery from Thailand
Many entrepreneurs are looking for cargo from Thailand, but this format carries risks for commercial import: the cargo may be detained at customs, and the company will not have documents for accounting, tax accounting and selling goods on marketplaces.
TransGID organizes official delivery from Thailand with customs clearance.
The client receives:
- a declaration on goods;
- closing documents;
- confirmation of customs value;
- documents for accounting;
- the opportunity to legally sell goods in Russia.
This format is especially important for supplies to marketplaces, wholesale trade, industrial procurement and regular import.
Customs clearance of goods from Thailand
Customs clearance begins before the shipment is sent.
Our specialists:
- check the invoice and packing list;
- select FEA commodity codes;
- calculate duties, VAT and customs fees;
- check the need for certification;
- assess the risks of customs value adjustment;
- prepare the declaration;
- submit documents to the Electronic Declaration Center.
With correctly prepared documents, cargo release usually takes 1–2 working days.
We pay special attention to electronics, chemical products, cosmetics, food and equipment. For these categories, certificates, certificates of conformity, technical descriptions, MSDS, product compositions or permits may be required.
Financial logistics and purchase of goods in Thailand
Russian importers often face delays in international payments to Southeast Asia. Banks may request additional documents, reject the transfer or delay payment to the supplier.
TransGID helps to organize payment for goods in Thailand within the framework of the agency scheme.
We can:
- pay the supplier in Thailand;
- organize the purchase of goods;
- carry out calculations in available currency;
- prepare documents for accounting;
- accompany foreign exchange control.
This helps to avoid delays in production, shipment and booking space on a ship or airplane.
Certification and permits
For some goods from Thailand, an invoice and packing list are not enough.
Additional documents may be required for cosmetics, food, chemicals, electronics, equipment, children's products, and marketplace products.
We check the requirements by FEA code in advance and help prepare documents before the cargo arrives in Russia. This reduces the risk of delays at the customs warehouse and additional requests from the customs authorities.
Delivery of goods from Thailand for marketplaces
TransGID organizes the supply of goods from Thailand for marketplace sellers and wholesale companies.
We help with the delivery of cosmetics, textiles, accessories, home goods, shoes, clothing, long-term storage products and other commercial batches.
Cargo can be collected from several suppliers, consolidated in a warehouse and delivered in one batch to Russia. After customs clearance, the client receives the documents necessary for further sale of the goods.
Export from Russia to Thailand
In addition to import, TransGID organizes export shipments from Russia to Thailand.
We help send raw materials, agricultural products, lumber, chemical products, fertilizers, equipment and industrial goods.
As part of the export shipment, we select the route, prepare the documents, submit the container to the sender's warehouse and organize delivery to the recipient in Thailand.
How is the cost of delivery from Thailand formed?
The cost depends on the route, volume, weight, category of cargo, delivery terms and selected transport.
Picking up cargo on FOB terms from the port is usually cheaper than organizing вывоз from a remote factory on EXW terms.
For calculation, it is enough to send an invoice and packing list.
What is more profitable: consolidated cargo or a separate container?
If the batch is small, consolidated delivery is more profitable. The client pays only for the occupied space in the container or vehicle.
If the batch is large, heavy or regular, a separate container is usually more profitable.
What documents are needed for calculation?
For preliminary calculation, an invoice, packing list, product description, sender's address and recipient's address are needed. If the cargo belongs to chemicals, cosmetics, electronics or food products, composition, technical description or MSDS may be additionally required.
Do you want to calculate the cost of supplying goods from Thailand, including transportation, customs, certification and payment to the supplier? Send an invoice and packing list. TransGID specialists will prepare a route and calculation for your batch.
How much more expensive is it to transport cargo by plane?
The final air delivery from Thailand costs several times more than sea freight rates. This tool is used exclusively for urgent shipments of valuable electronics, test samples, or parts, when business downtime is more expensive than transportation costs.
