Air Freight

Air freight is the only way to deliver imported cargo within 1–3 days. This solution is chosen for importing samples, perishable goods, spare parts for equipment repair, certification samples, or seasonal goods.

TransGID organizes international air freight for legal entities. We pick up cargo from the supplier's warehouse, handle export declarations in the country of departure, and carry out customs clearance at the arrival airports. You receive cargo that has passed all procedures and is ready for sale.

TransGID imports commercial cargo from key global trade and industrial centers, ensuring stable logistics even amid changing international economic relations. Thanks to an extensive network of overseas agents and consolidation warehouses, we handle both direct factory shipments and complex transit cargo. The geography of our regular routes covers key economic hubs in Asia and the Middle East, allowing us to promptly arrange connecting flights, reduce transit time, and minimize logistics costs for cargo owners. Daily departures from Beijing (PEK), Shanghai (PVG), Guangzhou (CAN), and Hong Kong (HKG). This is the main channel for electronics, spare parts, and urgent samples. We operate across all international airports in Russia with customs posts. You do not need to route cargo through Moscow if your warehouse is located in Siberia or the Urals. TransGID delivers cargo from any country that has direct air service to Russia.

We know the specifics of each cargo terminal. Our local forwarders supervise unloading, transfer to the temporary storage warehouse (TSW), and cargo release.

In addition to standard cargo (machinery, textiles, electronics, consumer goods), we handle complex cargo types and routinely take on shipments turned down by other forwarders:

• Dangerous Goods (DG/ADR) – air shipment of chemicals, lithium batteries, liquids. We check packaging, labeling, and MSDS declarations for compliance with IATA regulations.
• Temperature-controlled cargo – pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, food products, biological materials. We maintain strict temperature control throughout the entire transit.

Air freight rates depend not only on actual weight, but also on volume. Aviation applies the rule of “Chargeable Weight”. The standard IATA ratio is: 1 m³ = 167 kg.

The airline compares actual weight with volumetric weight and calculates the rate based on the higher value.

Example 1 – Heavy cargo

A box of metal bearings has a volume of 0.1 m³ and weighs 50 kg. Its volumetric weight is 16.7 kg. The airline will charge for the actual weight – 50 kg.

Example 2 – Light cargo

A box of down jackets has a volume of 1 m³ and weighs 40 kg. Its volumetric weight is 167 kg. The airline will charge for the volumetric weight – 167 kg.

1. Request – you send the invoice, packing list, and pickup address.
2. Pickup – we collect the cargo from the supplier and transport it to the departure airport.
3. Export – we process the export declaration.
4. Flight – the cargo departs on the earliest flight. You receive an air waybill number (MAWB) for tracking.
5. Arrival & Import – the cargo is placed in a TSW (Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo, or another); we submit the declaration and handle customs clearance at the airport.
6. Delivery – following customs release, we deliver the cargo to your warehouse.

TransGID is a licensed customs representative. Our customs brokers directly submit documents to the Electronic Declaration Centers (EDC) of aviation customs.

We coordinate directly with cargo terminals: settle terminal handling charges (THC), pay temporary storage warehouse (TSW) fees, and issue vehicle passes. You do not need to enter into separate contracts with Sheremetyevo or Tolmachevo — you receive cargo that is already cleared.
