China with TransGID
China is the main trading partner of Russian business. For stable supplies, logistics is required that takes into account deadlines, cost and specifics of customs legislation. An error in choosing a route or FEA commodity code can lead to delays at the border and additional expenses.
TransGID organizes cargo delivery from China by official route with a full package of documents. We specialize in commercial consignments for legal entities: from consolidated cargo to container train. We pick up goods in any province of the PRC (Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Ningbo, Shanghai, etc.) and deliver them to the recipient's warehouse in the Russian Federation.
Routes and methods of delivery from China
The choice of route depends on the destination point and required deadlines. We use 5 key logistics channels.
Through the Far East — multimodal transportation
One of the most popular routes for delivering goods to most regions of Russia.
Scheme: By sea from Chinese ports to Vladivostok or Vostochny (Nakhodka) ports → Rail or road delivery across Russia.
Customs: Registration takes place at the Vladivostok CED or directly at the port of arrival.
Term: 35–45 days.
Direct Rail and Road — land crossings
A quick land route bypassing the sea leg. Suitable for shipments from northern and central provinces of the PRC.
Zabaikalsk / Manchuria border crossing: The main gateway for rail and road transport. Delivery through Zabaikalsk allows you to reload the container onto a wide gauge and send it by express train to Moscow (Vorsino, Selyatino, Khovrino).
Through Kazakhstan (Dostyk / Alashankou and Altynkol / Khorgos): Transit route for delivery to the Volga region and the Southern Urals.
Road crossings: We use the Pogranichny (Suifenhe) and Kraskino crossings for quick removal by trucks.
Air delivery — urgent cargo
The fastest way to receive goods. Ideal for samples, expensive electronics and spare parts, when production downtime costs more than logistics. TransGID is IATA accredited, so we offer competitive rates without intermediaries.
Departure airports: Beijing (PEK), Shanghai (PVG), Guangzhou (CAN), Hong Kong (HKG).
Arrival: Moscow (Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo), Novosibirsk (Tolmachevo), Krasnoyarsk.
Term: 1-3 days
Through the port of Novorossiysk — Deep Sea
Route through the southern seas and the Suez Canal.
Scheme: Direct freight from China to the port of Novorossiysk. Then — road haulage across the South of Russia or rail to the center.
Advantages: Allows you to bypass the busy Eastern Polygon of Russian Railways. It is profitable for recipients in the Krasnodar Territory, Rostov-on-Don and Stavropol Region.
Through St. Petersburg — Deep Sea
Sea delivery through the Baltic.
Scheme: The ship goes to the ports of Bronka, PKT or KTSP.
Who benefits: Companies from the North-West region (St. Petersburg, Leningrad Region, Karelia) to exclude expensive rail delivery across all of Russia.
Types of loading and containers
We select equipment according to the specifics of your goods.
Container transportation (FCL)
We provide an empty container to the supplier's factory. We use 20-foot containers (for heavy cargo: hardware, stone, machines) and 40-foot containers (High Cube – for bulky goods: clothing, furniture, electronics). The seal is applied by the sender and can only be removed by you.
Groupage cargo from China (LCL)
For shipments from 100 kg to 10 pallets, we offer consolidation. We collect cargo in warehouses in Shenzhen, Ningbo, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Qingdao. You pay only for the space occupied in the vehicle or container.
Special and project cargo
In addition to standard goods, we handle complex cargo:
Oversized cargo
Transportation of production lines, special equipment, and machinery on platforms and trailers. We arrange special permits in China and the Russian Federation.
Dangerous cargo
We accept chemicals, batteries, and paints. We work with hazard classes 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9. We check safety data sheets (MSDS) and documents for compliance with carrier and customs requirements.
Refrigerated transportation
Delivery of food and chemicals in refrigerated containers with temperature control along the entire route 24/7.
Customs clearance and FEA
TransGID is a licensed customs representative. We perform a full range of procedures for cargo clearance:
- Selection of HS FEA codes.
- Calculation of customs duties and taxes.
- Submission of declarations to the Electronic Customs Declaration Centers in Vladivostok, Moscow, Novorossiysk, or St. Petersburg.
- Issuance of certificates of conformity and CC.
- We provide financial logistics services: supplier search, purchase of goods in China, and payment to the counterparty in yuan.
Which is cheaper: sea or rail?
Sea delivery through the Far East or Novorossiysk is usually cheaper than direct rail transportation, but takes longer (45–55 days versus 25–30 days by rail). If time allows, the sea can help reduce the procurement budget.
Do you ship through Kazakhstan?
Yes, we use transit through Kazakhstan (border crossings Dostyk and Altinkol). This is a reliable backup route for rail and road delivery when the crossings on the Russia-China border are busy.
How quickly does the declaration release take place?
With correctly prepared documents, the release takes from 4 hours to 1 working day. We check the invoices and contracts in advance, before the cargo arrives at the border.
Do you carry goods from Hong Kong?
Yes, we deliver goods from Hong Kong and Taiwan by air and sea. Payment schemes and document оформления for these regions are worked out.
