Container throughput across all Russian seaports in September 2023 increased by 38.6% compared to September 2022:
- exports grew by 39%
- cabotage handling increased by 33.9% compared to the previous year
- transit traffic decreased by 6.5%
- imports grew by 45.1%
- laden container handling increased by 33.8% year-on-year
- empty container throughput grew by 54.1%
The breakdown by basin in the total container throughput of all Russian seaports for September 2023 was as follows:
- Far Eastern — 54.3%
- Baltic — 25.4%
- Azov-Black Sea — 17.2%
- Arctic — 3.1%
- Caspian — 0.1%
