The experiment on marking auto parts, which started on July 1, 2024, is gaining momentum. Following lubricants and technical fluids, the Ministry of Industry and Trade plans to introduce the “Fair Sign” marking for all other categories of parts.
Before the experiment, the share of counterfeit and fake engine oils exceeded 60%. However, marking will only partially solve this problem: the movement of goods will be monitored, but not their quality. In this regard, the Ministry of Industry and Trade also plans to launch a register of добросовестных importers – it will include suppliers who comply with the requirements for both product quality and import.
From November 1, 2024, it will no longer be possible to officially buy car tires without the “Fair Sign” marking. By February 28, 2025, the list of auto parts subject to marking will be much longer.
